The Naar Classic Foundation was created to continue honoring the life and legacy of Jacob Naar through community-focused events, fundraising, and charitable initiatives.
What began as a basketball tournament among friends and community members has grown into an annual tradition that brings people together in support of a meaningful cause.
Our mission is rooted in connection, community involvement, and creating opportunities to give back while keeping Jake’s memory at the center of everything we do.
Jacob “Jake” Naar was an amazing friend whose impact continues to be felt through the countless friendships, memories, and community connections he created throughout his life. Known for his positivity, loyalty, and ability to bring people together, Jake left a lasting impression on everyone around him.
After Jake unexpectedly passed away in 2021, the Annual Naar Classic was created to honor his life and keep his spirit alive through the game and community he loved so much. What began as a way for friends and family to come together in remembrance has grown into an annual tradition centered around connection, support, and giving back.
Jake’s motto, “No Bad Days,” continues to inspire the foundation and the community that surrounds it. That mindset, appreciating life, showing up for others, and making the most of every moment, remains at the heart of everything we do.
Each year, the Annual Naar Classic brings together players, families, friends, local businesses, volunteers, and supporters for a day that reflects the energy, positivity, and sense of community Jake represented to so many people. Through basketball, fundraising, and charitable initiatives, his legacy continues to make a meaningful impact and create opportunities for people to come together in his honor.
